Margaret M. Gingrich, 95, a resident at the Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017.
She was born in Malta, a daughter of the late C. Harvey and Cora (Deppen) Witmer. She was the widow of John D. Romberger and Paul H. Gingrich and also preceded in death by her children Paul and Scott Romberger, step daughter Paula Ruchinsky and a brother Clair Witmer.
Margaret had been employed at the former Dalmatia Footwear, Muskin Shoe factory and Regal Shirt factory.
She was a member of Halifax United Methodist Church and the Peppies at the Millersburg Senior Center.
Margaret enjoyed camping, playing cards, crocheting afghans for her family, and traveling to Florida for the winter months.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Janet, of Sunbury and Chris and Barb, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one daughter, Joyce Rothermel, of Herndon; stepchildren, Judy Gingrich, of Florida, Jerry and Sheila Gingrich, of Kentucky, Pam and Jeff Gottshall, of Tennessee, and Dennis Gingrich, of York; grandchildren, Beth Ann Digiorgio, Jennifer Romberger, Matthew Romberger, Wendy Heintzelman, Kim Rothermel, Todd Rothermel, Justin Romberger and Stacy Weir; and many great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Millersburg, followed by the funeral at 3.
Inurnment will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Malta.
