Margaret Faye Bowersox, 90, formerly of Middleburg, passed away on Sunday morning, April 2, 2017, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born Sept. 13, 1926, in rural Middleburg, a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Kratzer) Mitchell. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married Stoy E. Bowersox who preceded in death on Dec. 23, 2005.
Faye retired from Middleburg Yarn after more than 40 years of service.
She enjoyed auto racing and was a Jeff Gordon fan, and was a Phillies baseball fan. Faye also enjoyed playing Solitaire.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stanford E. "Butch" and Donna Mitchell, of Kreamer, and Roger E. and Caroline Bowersox, of Mount Pleasant Mills; two daughters, Carolyn J. Heckman, of Middleburg, and Arlene M. Liddington, of Winfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Roush, of Kreamer.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandson; one sister, Lois Haines; and two brothers, Lawson and Walter Mitchell Jr.
There will be a private viewing for family members at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg, with Pastor George Price officiating.
