Luther M. Andrews Jr., 73, of Washingtonville, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his home.
Born March 14, 1943, in Anthony Township, Montour County, he was a son of the late Luther M. and Florence (Snyder) Andrews Sr. He was married to Anella (DeLusa) Andrews until her death on May 30, 2016.
Luther was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Marine Corps. After returning home from service he worked for 10 years in construction.
He loved fishing, antiques, and shooting. Luther also enjoyed spending time in the Loyalsock area and Gettysburg for Civil War history and reenactments.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis Alan Hellyer, of Langhorn, Matthew E. Hellyer, of Philadelphia, and Tony Joe Puzzetti and his wife Shelly, of Freeland; three daughters, Annette Shutt, of Danville, Janette Parkins, of North, Va., and Christine Puzzetti, of Freeland; six grandchildren, Douglas Hellyer, Christian Hellyer, Brandi Hellyer, Belinda Shutt, Katlyin Puzzetti, and Joseph Puzzetti; two brothers, John Andrews, of Turbotville, and George Andrews, of Danville; and one sister, Lucille Kelchner, of Danville.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Lougenberger.
Family and friends are invited to call from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Fairview Church of the Nazarene, 345 Fairview Road, Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Marjorie B. Fisk officiating.
Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be sent to the Pancreatic Cancer Society of America.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 207 Broadway S., Turbotville.
