Lucille S. Zartman, 74, of Sunbury, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born in Sunbury on March 2, 1943, a daughter of John and Elsie Gladys (Smith) Boyer. She was married to Dean F. Zartman Sr.
Lucille attended local schools receiving her GED.
Her favorite thing to do was cook — it was her career and she loved to cook for her loving family. Lucille loved her pet dog "Sassy."
She was a foster grandmother.
Surviving are her sons, Dean F. and wife Tina Zartman, of Centralia, Kan. and Jay and wife Taffi Zartman, of Sunbury; grandchildren, Dawn and husband Christopher Blewett, Karee Zartman, Evelyn Johnston, Grace Johnston, Katy Yarger, and Chris Yarger; one great-grandson, Sylas Yargersisters, Betty and Lydia Boyer, both of Northumberland; brother, Ralph Boyer, of Tamaqua; sister-in-law, Crissie Boyer, of Northumberland; and nieces and nephews, Steven Boyer, Juanita Boyer, Col. Jeffrey Boyer, James Boyer, Deb Tipler, Colin Boyer, Glenn Boyer and Chris Boyer.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and John Boyer; and nephew, Michael.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16.
Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Danville, the Degenstein Library of Sunbury, or the Priestley Library of Northumberland.
