Loy R. Eyster, 89, of Dornsife, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Sunbury Community Health and Rehab Center, Sunbury.
She was born Sept. 10, 1927, in Little Mahanoy Township, a daughter of the late Robert and Elenore (Spade) Erdman. On Dec. 23, 1948, in Herndon, she married Marlin L. Eyster Sr. who preceded her in death on May 27, 1997.
Loy attended Little Mahanoy School and was a lifelong resident of Dornsife.
She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hunter Station.
Loy enjoyed her grandchildren and flower garden.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kerry R. and Lucy Eyster and Darryl J. Eyster, all of Dornsife; four grandchildren, Kerry Eyster Jr., of Dornsife, Robbie Eyster, of Halifax, Amy Loper, of Dillsburg, and Darryl Eyster, of Shamokin; great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Erdman, of Sunbury.
She was preceded in death by one son, Marlin L. Eyster Jr.; one grandson, James Eyster; and one brother, William E. Erdman.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery Hunter Station.
