Lorraine Faye (Bowersox) Spickler, 78, of 205 Walnut St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:07 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Elmcroft, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident since November.
She was born Oct. 14, 1938, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Tennyson A. and Edna (Moyer) Bowersox. On Feb. 21, 1960, in Mazeppa, she married Harold K. Spickler who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1981.
Lorraine was a 1956 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
She was employed at JPM Company, Lewisburg, for 45 years, until she retired in 2000.
Lorraine was an active member of the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church. She had a long history of active involvement throughout her church life, including Sunday school teacher, choir member, organist, youth after school programming, and various church activities.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Don Smith, of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Ryan Smith and Kierstyn Smith; one sister, Esther Leighow, of Danville; and in-laws, Don and Sondra Spickler, of Carlisle, Jean Spickler, of Mifflinburg, Priscilla Bowersox, of Lancaster, Ray Hollenbach and Bill Paige, both of Lewisburg; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Bowersox; and two sisters, Ethel Paige and Pearl Hollenbach.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, at the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, 279 Market St., where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with the Rev. Shirley Cornell officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
