Lois Deborah Guyer Aunkst, 67, of Montgomery, passed away at her home on Monday, Dec. 26, 2015.
She was born April 9, 1949, in Danville, a daughter of the late Willard A. and Sarah W. (Trawitz) Guyer. She was married to Dean E. Aunkst who preceded her in death on March 3, 2014, breaking a marital union of 46 years.
Debbie was a graduate of the Milton High School.
She was a member of the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, and served her neighborhood through many different tasks of caring for the elderly with their needs of transportation, choirs, or housework.
Debbie enjoyed crafts, cooking, and baking.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Stephen and Brenda Aunkst, of Montgomery, and Dwayne and Tracy Aunkst, of Watsontown; four grandchildren, Zackery Aunkst, Emmie Aunkst, Gerrick Beiber and Trisha Williams; one great-granddaughter, Madison Beiber; three sisters, Rachael Felix and Dorcas Emery, both of Watsontown, and Mary Foresman, of Allenwood; and two brothers, James Guyer, of Milton and John Guyer, of Vicksburg; and her fiancé Tom Grimm.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth and Sarah; and three brothers, Paul, Stephen and David.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg, followed by the funeral at 11, with her pastor, the Rev Michael Reece officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
