Linda S. Ward, 68, of Singing Bridge Road, McClure, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at her home in McClure surrounded by her family.
She was born June 12, 1948, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late William W. and Adeline S. (Grenoble) Weader. On April 15, 1967, she married Andrew K. Ward who survives.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of West Snyder High School and attended and graduated from Plaza School of Beauty in Lewistown.
She worked as a beautician and owned Linda Ward Beauty Shop in McClure for many years.
Linda was a member of Baker's United Methodist Church, McClure.
In her spare time she enjoyed camping, spending time at the McClure swimming pool where she was active in helping to raise money, gardening, and going to the beach, however the main love of her life was her granddaughter and family.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle S. and Brett Aurand; and one granddaughter, Rhiannon P. Aurand.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Contributions in Linda's memory may be made to the Baker's EUB Cemetery, 9011 Stage Road, McClure, PA 17841, or to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
