Keturah E. Faust, 56, of Neitz Road, Northumberland and longtime resident of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1960, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Herbert P. and Mary C. (Erdman) Faust.
Keturah was a 1977 graduate of Shikellamy High School, obtained her undergraduate degree from Wilkes University and her graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She served in the Navy from May 19, 1980 with tours in Iceland and Virginia Beach and was honorably discharged on June 21, 1983.
Her professional career started at Nottingham Village as the Director of Social Services. After many years of service Keturah retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a nursing home surveyor.
Keturah was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with people and was always the life of the party.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Drusilla and Allen Hoffman, of Northumberland; her niece, Amy Hoffman, of Lititz; her nephews, Bradley Hoffman and his wife Miriam, of Biglerville and Jeffrey Hoffman and his wife Kendra, of Middleburg; and great-nieces and nephews, David, Aubrey, Isaac and Moses Hoffman.
Keturah donated her body to the Humanity Gift Registry. Friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland, followed by a memorial service at 11, with the Rev. Michael Cantine officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Keturah's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701, or to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201.
