Katie Rothermel, 91, of Harleysville, formerly of Warminster and Pitman, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Peter Becker Community.
She was born March 26, 1925, in Klingerstown, a daughter of the late Lottie (Reiner) and Charles A. Fetterolf. She was married to the late Stanley Rothermel, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2015.
Katie attended the Fetterolf School and graduated from the Hegins Township High School in 1943.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and loved taking care of her grandchildren.
Katie is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Rothermel, Susan Baker (Merrit), and Kristine Perry (Bob); one grandson, Todd Rothermel (Kris Ann), that she raised; seven grandchildren, Daniel Rhoades, Travis Rhoades, Allison MacWade, Kyle MacWade, Meredith Baker Colelli, Jonathan Perry, and Shawn Perry: five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Kimmel.
She was preceded in death by one son, Randall Rothermel; one brother, Mark Fetterolf; and five sisters, Pauline Masser, Mae Fetterolf, Iva Saltzman, Anna Specht Baker, and Elda Kehler.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Rd., Klingerstown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown.
