Kathryn F. Sampsell, 94, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Selinsgrove, a daughter of the late Frank and Ida M. (Mengle) McFall. In April of 1946, she married Clark Emerson Sampsell who preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1981.
Kathryn attended Selinsgrove High School.
She owned Kay's Beauty Shop in Selinsgrove and worked for more than 65 years as a beautician. She also had her teaching certificate in cosmetology.
Kay was of the Lutheran faith and was a life member of the Easter Star Chapter 222, Selinsgrove.
The main love of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Clark E. and Jerry L. Sampsell, of Selinsgrove; two grandchildren, Quay Sampsell and wife Christina, of Selinsgrove and Emerson Sampsell, of Lewisburg; two great-grandchildren, Logan Quay Sampsell and Ellie Leigh Sampsell, of Selinsgrove; one sister, Helen Anderson, of Selinsgrove; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Irene Sampsell, of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, John, George and Richard McFall; and one sister, Mary Bickhart.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 2, with the Rev. Robert P. Doll officiating.
Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
