Kathleen R. "Kathy" Bowersox, 67, of Poplar Street, Middleburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at her home.
She was born August 21, 1948 in Danville a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Mildred (Fenstermacher) Reedy. On January 14, 1967 she married Carroll L. Bowersox who preceded her in death in March of 2012.
Kathy was a 1966 graduate of Danville High School.
She retired from the Selinsgrove Center as a resident supervisor after 32 years of service.
She was a Christian and attended the h2 Church in Sunbury.
Kathy was an avid pool shooter and was a member of the pool league of the Hummel's Wharf Fire Company as well as a participant in many fundraisers. She found her greatest joy cooking and providing meals for her family and organizing family reunions.
Kathy lived for the loves of her life; her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kelly Bowersox, of Selinsgrove; grandson, Alex, who brought her so much love and joy; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel L. and Martha Reedy, Paul and Beverly Reedy, all of Danville, John and Sharon Reedy, of Berwick, and Russell and Joani Reedy, of Danville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Peggy and William Sudol; of Danville, and Joan and Marlin Bressi, of Milton, and Patricia Knight, of Sunbury.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, David, Jim and Jerry Reedy; and one sister, Mary Louise Baylor.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at noon with the Rev. Mark Gittens officiating.
