John Thomas Marconi, 56, of Potomac, Md., formerly of Riverside, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Casey House of Montgomery Hospice in Rockville, Md.
He was born Dec. 9, 1960, in Sunbury, a son of the late Mary E. (Jones) and John N. Marconi.
John was a 1978 graduate of Danville High School and a 1983 graduate of Bloomsburg State College, receiving a bachelor of arts in political science.
After finishing his degree, John lived in the Washington, D.C. metro area, working for many years as an accountant for Opportunity Concrete and Apex Environmental.
John loved classic cars, helping others in need, long walks in the sunshine, and spending time with his friends, family, and pets. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
John is survived by his husband, Peter Bianchine, MD, of Potomac; three sisters, Jean Marconi, of Millersville, Pa., Kay (John) Shade, of Riverside, and Michelle (Brian) Latshaw, of Danville, Pa.; sister-in-law, Christine Bianchine (Jeff Bowers), of McLean, Va.; nephews and nieces, Matthew Shade (wife, Lindsey and daughter, Everly), of York, Pa., Eric Shade, Diane Gomes (son, Christian Shade), of Buzzards Bay, Mass., Nicholas Bowers and Tony Bowers, of McLean, Va.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Christopher Marconi.
No memorial service is planned. His final resting place will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 12800 Veirs Mill Road., Rockville, MD 20853.
