John Edward "Bud" Housner, age 79, of Newcastle, Oklahoma, died Monday morning, June 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born January 11, 1938 in Watsontown, PA, he was the son of the late Augustus and Grace O. Housner.
In his early years, Bud worked at Milton Manufacturing in Milton, but while a resident of Oklahoma City, he worked at AT&T/Lucent Technologies for 17 years where he eventually retired. In his spare time he enjoyed watching Nascar, playing golf, fishing, spending time with his family, and spoiling his dog Bella.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Jane Housner; along with his three children, Terry Housner of Manheim, PA, Cindy Mullens of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Jamie and Tim McComas of Newcastle, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother Neal Housner and Patty of Milton, PA, with many other loving nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents John and Ella Plotts, and two half-brothers, Augustus Jr. (Dutch) Housner and William (Bus) Housner.
Memorial services for Bud were held at Free Will Baptist Church, located at 3133 NW 24th Street, Newcastle, Oklahoma, 73065.
