Earlier in her career, she worked for a Harrisburg law firm of Pepper, Hamilton, and Scheetz. She held various positions in state government working for the PA State Library, the PA Department of Labor and Industry, and the PA Department of Education. She worked as a church secretary and preschool assistant before working for the Union County Housing Authority where she was last employed.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Sunbury.
Jo Ann enjoyed family vacations, loved shopping and of course attending the annual Covered Bridge Festival at Knoebel's Grove. Jo was greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends.
