Jeffrey S. Frey, 53, of Selinsgrove, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at his home.
He was born July 22, 1964, in Watsontown, a son of Judy (Pursel) Frey, of Watsontown, and the late Donald Frey.
Jeff graduated from Warrior Run High School where he played football, baseball and wrestled. He received his bachelor's degree in business/accounting from Bloomsburg University. He was an Army veteran earning the rank of sergeant and served in the Desert Storm conflict.
Jeff worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the departments of Revenue and Labor & Industry until retirement.
He was a member of the Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene where he was involved in Children Ministries, the Drama Team, and many additional activities. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post, Selinsgrove.
He is survived by his wife, Lubow J. (Marshalick) Frey; a son and daughter, Zachary and Magdalene, at home; sister, Laura, wife of Kevin Focht, and their two children, Michael and Nicole, of Elmer, N.J.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene, followed by a memorial service at 11, with Pastor Jeremy Smallwood officiating.
A private burial with military honors will be held in Fort Indiantown Gap.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene Benevolence Fund or to the Rudy Gelnett Memorial Library in Selinsgrove for purchase of an AED device and plaque in Jeff's memory.
The Rothermel-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Elysburg, is in charge of arrangements.
