Jean L. "Jeanie" (Chamberlain) Delaney, 63, of 124 Hemlock View, Northumberland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at her home.
She was born May 23, 1954, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Peggy M. (Wynn) Chamberlain. She was married to Harry Delaney who survives.
Jeanie was last employed as a prep-cook at El Rancho Restaurant and Lounge. Over the years she also cooked and was a bartender at that same business.
Jeanie's passion in life was her love for her pets. Dizzy her bird and her two cats Buttons and Slim are surely missing their Mom. Over the years Jeanie was always good about feeding and taking care of strays or giving them a new home with her and Harry.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jake and Derek Wendt; stepson, Harry; one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Todd Roup; one brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Joni Chamberlain; nieces, nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Jeanie's life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bob's Washington Tavern, Northumberland.
Memorial contributions in Jeanie's memory may be made to the Danville SPCA, 2801 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.
Our hearts are heavy as we realize we weren't there to hold your hand and comfort you and we never got a chance to say goodbye....please know we will miss you dearly, a piece of our hearts go with you. Love you more...Exes-n-Ooos. Till we meet again.
