Jane C. Thomas, 73, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016.
She was born Feb. 28, 1943, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Charles and Allie (Conley) Long. On Nov. 24, 1963, she married Marvin E. Thomas, who survives.
Jane was a graduate of Chief Logan High School and had attended college in New York City.
After college, she had worked at the Time & Life Building as an estimator in advertising. After getting married, she had worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory in Lewistown.
Jane love spending time traveling over the last 13 years with her husband in their motorhome.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Sharon Thomas, of Reading, and Kevin and Laura Thomas, of Sykesville, Md.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Christine Garber, of Shillington, and Dorothy and William Kerstetter, of McAlisterville; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen and William Waltrous, of Sarasota, Judy Douglas and companion Frank Riggins, of Kennett Square, and Alice Long, of Sarasota; and Jeff McKnabb, with whom she was especially close.
Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown and again from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, followed by the funeral with Pastor Jeremy Kerstetter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Black Oak Ridge Cemetery in McClure.
