Jan L. Hoffman, 67, of 130 S. Front St., Sunbury, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1949, in Sunbury, a son of the late Benjamin F. and Virginia (Koppenheffer) Hoffman.
Jan was a 1969 graduate of Shikellamy High School. He joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War era.
He was employed as a laborer at the Sunbury Textile Mill until his retirement.
Jan volunteered as a Sunbury Fire Policeman earlier in his life.
He thoroughly enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing at the Trails End Family Camp, and enjoyed watching Penn State football.
Jan is survived by his daughters, Heather J. Bucher, of Sunbury and Amber L. Clark, of Northumberland; grandchildren, John A. Bucher Jr., Madelyn A. Bucher and Alyssa N. Bucher; sister, Toni Ann Pulley, of Kentucky; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris A. and Sherry Hoffman, of Holidaysburg, and Jesse K. and Melinda A. Hoffman, of Selinsgrove; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Michael F. Hoffman.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Dave Dressler officiating.
