James A. Shellehamer Jr., 61, of Coal Township, passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 30, 1955, in Carlisle, a son of Shirley M. (Swinn) Shellehamer, of Marysville, and the late James A. Shellehamer.
James was a 1972 graduate of Red Land High School. He was a veteran of the Navy and served in the Vietnam War.
Jim was a Past Governor of The Loyal Order of Moose, Selinsgrove and a member of the Shamokin Dam and Sunbury Moose Lodges. He was also a member of the Marysville, Selinsgrove and Shamokin Veteran of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Richard Shellehamer, of Sunbury; one granddaughter, Sarah; two sisters, Eileen M. Myers, of Marysville, and Vicky Shumaker, of Newport; three nieces, Tiffany, Tabitha, Tonya; and one nephew, Steven.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey A. Shellehamer.
Services will be at the convenience of family.
