Ida A. Wagner, 89, of Wagner Lane, Northumberland, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born June 5, 1927, in Milton, a daughter of the late John and Mary O. (Robenolt) Heddings. She was married to Walter Lester Wagner who preceded her in death on March 8, 1994.
Ida was a 1946 graduate of Milton High School and received her certificate as a registered nurse in 1951 with the Lockhaven Hospital School of Nursing.
She held various nursing positions but eventually focused on raising her family while staying active with volunteering with the American Red Cross blood drives.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland where she was a member of the Ladies Aide/Helping Hands.
Ida took great pride in her flower gardens, was a talented cook, and an avid reader.
Ida is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda L. and Paul S. Dubendorf, Lori A. and Michael A. Martin, and Lisa S. and Don R. Bordner, all of Northumberland, and Lee Ann Yucha, of Billings, Mont.; one stepdaughter and her husband, Helen and Blaine Shover, of Beaver Springs; eight grandchildren, Lauren and husband Kevin, Amber and husband Lance, Kristie and husband Brent, Kyla, Paige, Rachel, Rylee, and Tristan; three great-grandsons, Sawyer, Reuben, and Quincy; one sister, Mary Acor, of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Luther, Graydon, Raymond, Sydney, and Calvin Heddings; and two sisters, Pearl Koch and Alda Black.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Kratzerville, with the Rev. Cindi Gunter officiating.
