Hilda K. Hoch, 91, formerly of Leck Kill and a former resident of the Polk Foundation, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, at the Sunbury Community Health and Rehab, Sunbury.
She was born July 16, 1925, in Leck Kill, a daughter of the late Stella (Geist) and Lester Reitz. She was married to L. Howard Hoch who preceded her in death.
Hilda attended Pine Park High School.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and a member of the former Grange in Greenbrier.
Hilda loved family gatherings. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, doing yard work, going camping and square dancing.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Sally Hoch, of Herndon; two grandchildren, Sherri Hoch Smyre and her fiancé Michael J. Maher, and Brian David Hoch and his wife Ashlee; three great-grandchildren, Meagan, Nicholas, and Bryant; one stepgreat- grandson, Zachary; two brothers, Marlin and Earl Reitz; and one sister, Margaret Heckert.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Andrew Weaver officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Leck Kill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hilda's memory may be made to St. John's Cemetery Association, 4330 Schwaben Creek Road, Leck Kill, PA 17836.
