Glenn Elwood Kerstetter, 83, of Millerstown, entered into rest on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at his home.
Glenn was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Oriental, Juniata County, a son of the late Morris, Sr. and Jennie (Forry) Kerstetter. He was married to the former Hazel Alverna Goodling who preceded him on March 5, 1996.
He was a former owner of Kerstetter Garage, Millerstown. He was formerly employed at Harvey Swartz Massey Ferguson Dealership and a steel mill. Glenn also worked as a logger, a marina manager, and on a farm.
He was a former member of the Richfield Ambulance League and the Sunbury Social Club.
Glenn enjoyed fishing and tinkering. He especially enjoyed spending time with his late wife boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
Glenn is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Gary E. and Evelyn Kerstetter and Larry E. and Sandra Kerstetter, all of Millerstown, Barry E. and Betty Kerstetter, of Richfield, and Rodney A. Kerstetter, of Thompsontown; two daughters, Carol Kerstetter and Debra Stone, all of Millerstown; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Annamae Kerstetter, of Mount Pleasant Mills; two sisters-in-law, Erma Kerstetter, of Selinsgrove and Caroline Kerstetter, of McAlisterville; seven brothers and sisters of his late wife Hazel; and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Kerstetter Jr. and Bernard Kerstetter; and one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Amos Swartz.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by the funeral at 11, at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. James Neimond and Pastor Andrew Bucke officiating.
Burial will be Dressler's Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
