Glenn M. Battista, 57, of Northumberland, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at his home.
He was born April 14, 1960, in Philadelphia, a son of Samuel Sr. and Alice (Backhus) Battista. On May 8, 2004, he married the former Marian Bolig who survives.
Glenn was a 1978 graduate of Landsdowne-Aldan High School.
He was employed as an auto tech at Bastian Tires, Sunbury Alexanders, and Hawkins Chevrolet. He owned his own automotive repair shop in Philadelphia.
Glenn loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved going to the drag races and working on the cars. He also enjoyed fishing, flying, boating and camping.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Battista, and Brianna Battista Kile and her husband, Devin Kile; one brother and sister-in-law, Samuel Jr. and Debra Battista; one stepson, Thomas Stover and wife Jessica; one stepdaughter, Eileen Weikel and her husband Nathan; grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew Weikel and Mark and Mary Catherine Stover; and aunts, uncles and many others.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stephen.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Queen Street, Northumberland, followed by the funeral at 2. A meal will follow in the church fellowship hall for anyone wishing to attend.
