Gerald "Jerry"'s Story
Gerald "Jerry" Patrick Dennen, 75, of Riverside, died in the loving arms of his wife, surrounded by his children and brother on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center.
He was born on May 31, 1941, in Danville, a son of the late Sylvester T. Dennen and Mary H. LeFevre. He married Fianna "Ann" (Troutman) Dennen.
Jerry was honorably discharged from the Air Force and later worked as a carpenter.
He was the consummate outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, serving as a past president of the Cherokee Gun Club. He was also an avid Civil War living historian and reenactor. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Danville.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; three children, Lisa Marr, of Danville, Michael Dennen and wife Barbara, of Riverside, and Robyn Martz, of Northumberland; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Brittany, Amanda, Emily, Jacob, Stephanie and husband Andrew, and Megan; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Easton; and two brothers, Harry Thomas "Tom" Dennen, of Danville and Richard Dennen, of Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Dennen.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
