George E. Stuck, 90, of Northumberland, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at Heritage Springs in Lewisburg.
He was born April 22, 1926, in Point Township, a son of the late Samuel and Doris (Speece) Stuck. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Fay Boyer, in 2012.
George served with the army in Germany during World War 2.
He was the former owner of the Stuck Brother's Appliance Store in Point Township.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Northumberland.
George enjoyed farming and canning his own vegetable. He also enjoyed traveling and boating.
He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Specht and her husband, Jeffrey, of Northumberland; two grandsons, Craig Specht and his wife, Brittany Bunting-Specht, and George Specht and his wife, Amanda; one sister, Doris Mertz, of Northumberland; four brothers, Robert, Thomas and Albert, of Northumberland, and Bruce, of O.H.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Kenneth.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Laura Ramsey officiating.
Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations in George's memory to the Shikellamy Forensic and Debate Program, Shikellamy Middle School, 545 Permastone Dr., Northumberland, Pa. 17857 to the attention of Craig Sprecht.
