Gary Londis, 66, of Lincoln Street, Northumberland, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland, with his wife by his side after a long, hard fought battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born Jan. 8, 1951, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late John and Mildred (Saylor) Londis. On March 28, 1991, he married the former Mary Jane Stasinis who survives.
Gary obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Mount St. Mary College and obtained his Ph.D Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the University of New Mexico.
He was employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a clinical psychologist for 18 years.
He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury, and the American Psychological Association.
Gary enjoyed traveling, quilting, and reading.
In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gabriel and Leann Londis, of Massachusettes; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Jeremy Gregory and Julia and Bojan Dragicevic, all of Texas; stepdaughter, Jackie and her husband Tom Kanan, of New York; grandchildren, Sam, Sophia, and Ellie Gregory, Leo and Lucy Dragicevic, Lauren, Megan, and Nicholas Kanan; and one brother, John Londis, of New York.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, RJ Brola.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland. A Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market St., Sunbury, with the Rev. Fred Wangwe AJ, as celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
