Frederick C. Fisher, 73, of Fir Avenue, Middleburg, passed away on Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born May 20, 1943, in Sunbury, a son of the late Frederick L. and Bette (Herrold) Fisher. In 1962, he married the former Sheila D. O'Malley who survives.
Frederick was a graduate of Edison High School, Edison, N.J. and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was retired from Paulsen Wire Rope, Sunbury and later worked at Union-Snyder Transportation Alliance as a driver.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and football.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frederick L. II and Marian Fisher, of McAlisterville; four grandchildren, Amber Fisher, Trent Fisher and wife, Rachael, Brooke Fisher, and Colby Fisher; one great-grandaughter, Natalie; one sister and brother-in-law, Betsy and Palmer Neitz, of Selinsgrove; one niece, Jamiee Fisher and husband, Brett; and one great-nephew, Christopher.
He was preceded in death by one son, Scott C. Fisher in 2006.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 in Grubb's Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
