Faye A. (Confer) Beaver, 75, of Danville, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born April 26, 1941, in Danville, a daughter of the late Walter W. "Spike" and Elsie O. (Beaver) Confer. On Aug. 18, 1957, Faye married Dale L. Beaver and they celebrated 40 years of marriage together until his death on Oct. 14, 1997.
Faye was a hard worker. She spent many years raising her four children and working on the family farm. She then went on and worked at the silk mill in Danville, the Danville Area High School in the cafeteria, the Geisinger Medical Center, and was currently employed with Hackenberg Bus Company driving a van for the Milton Area School District.
She enjoyed many things but most of all she loved going out to eat, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and taking care of her flowers.
Faye is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Rhonda M. Beaver, of Milton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia A. and Robert L. Riehl, of Danville, Karen S. and Brian P. Richie, of New Columbia, and Jenny M. and Anthony Beaver-Conmy; five grandchildren, Megan Bryson and her husband Keith, Jenelle Beaver, Tyler Riehl, Andrew Richie and Carter Conmy; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Shultz, of Danville and Carolyn Carroll, of Watsontown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy "Dot" Folk.
A public graveside service for Faye will be held at noon Wednesday in Harmony Cemetery, Milton with Pastor Robert Strobel officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front St., Milton.
