Emily H. Rovenolt, 97, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born on the family farm in rural Muncy on Dec. 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary (Figgles) Hartman. On March 21, 1940, she married Lewis W. Rovenolt who preceded her in death in 2013, breaking a marital union of 73 years.
Emily was a 1938 graduate of Muncy High School and attended the Williamsport Technical Institute.
She was employed as a parts inspector for the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sunbury.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Edward Martz, of Shamokin; one grandson, Leo Guy Brecekenridge, of Sunbury; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings.
A private graveside service will be held in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
Funeral arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
