Dorothy Force Reichard, 87, of Bluebird Lane, Winfield, formerly of Tenth Street, Northumberland was reunited with her husband, Clifford, that she adored when she passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017.
She was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Orange Township, Columbia County, a daughter of the late Enos Leroy and L. E. (Parks) Force. On Nov. 22, 1948, she married Clifford A. Reichard who preceded her in death on April 5, 2008.
Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Northumberland High School.
She was employed by L'Aiglon Apparel, Northumberland, was a house cleaner for several local families, and later, with the help of her husband, mowed grass and maintained yards for others.
She was a member of the First Regular Baptist Church, Northumberland, and was active in the Good News Club.
Dorothy and Clifford enjoyed doing everything together including traveling and gardening. She also spent her time and had a talent for quilting and doing embroidery.
She is survived by several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband of 59 years, Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Sr. and Edward Force; and three sisters, Edna Murray, Bertha Force, and Esther Brouse.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service being held at 11 a.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland, with the Rev. John Rees officiating.
