Dorothy L. "Dot" Hoffman, 86, of Liverpool, entered into rest on Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016 at The Manor at Perry Village, New Bloomfield.

She was born May 29, 1930, in Millerstown, a daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Meloy) Grubb. She was married to Paul A. Hoffman who preceded her on March 2, 2012.

She was employed at the former Good Samaritan and Nipple Convalescent Homes. She also worked for the State of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.

She was a member of the Liverpool United Methodist Church where she was part of the Ladies Aide of the church and the Liverpool Civic Club. Dorothy also assisted with the Liverpool Cub Scout Pack 91 and the Girl Scouts.

She enjoyed cooking and baking, and bird watching. Dorothy loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by five children and their spouses, Linda Douglass, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Leah and Herbert Heimbach, of Lewistown,John and Karen Hoffman, of Liverpool, Leesa and Steven Landis, of Liverpool, and Lucille and Ronald Troup, of Millerstown; son-in-law, Howard Soule, of Arizona; 13 grandchildren, Paula Soule, Rebecca Goss, Brian Gray, Janine Bender, Maura Ramsdell, Zachary Hoffman, Mitchell Troup, Moriah Cockley, Jedidiah Landis, Lindsey Franson, Hannah Harner, Alexander Troup, and Meghan Troup; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles William Grubb, of Millerstown; one sister, Saundra Jane Baughman, of Tennesse; sister-in-law, Shirley Grubb, of Millerstown; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lora Soule; and eight brothers and sisters.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the Liverpool United Methodist Church, 109 S. Market St., Liverpool, followed by the funeral at 3, with Pastor Peggy Jones officiating.

Burial will be in the Liverpool Union Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Dorothy to her church or to Legacy Hospice, 4813 Jonestown Road, Ste. 201, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
