Dianna M. Farster, 66, of Middleburg, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the home of her niece, Kimberly Pope, of York. Dianna was known as "Tiney" by her family and friends.
She was born April 4, 1950, in Snyder County, a daughter of the late William R. and Mary Ellen (Nace) Stewart.
Dianna was a 1968 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and had served in the Army during the Vietnam War as a military police woman.
She was employed by Auntie Ann's in the Susquehanna Valley Mall, Selinsgrove from the early 1990s until illness forced her retirement in 2016.
Dianna was associated with Pleasant Valley Chapel, Mount Pleasant Mills.
She loved to bake and be outside doing gardening.
She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Judith "Sis" Campbell, of Windsor and Donna "Tink" and James Stober, of Annville; a niece, Kimberly Pope and husband Eric, of York; a nephew, Brian "Pete" Dietz and wife Jennifer, of Windsor; a great-nephew, Hunter Dietz; and two stepgreat-nephews,
Dianna was preceded by a half brother, Ronnie Nace.
There will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Globe Mills Cemetery, Middleburg, with military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Victory Post No. 25 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631. Officiating will be Pastor Terry Sheaffer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in Dianna's memory to Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837, or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills have been entrusted with the arrangements.
