Corman B. Bardo, 81, of Beaver Court, Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Buffalo Valley Nursing Care Center, Lewisburg.
He was born Nov. 29, 1935, in Linden, a son of the late Merritt L. and Geraldine M. (Corman) Bardo. He was married to the former Kay Hendricks who preceded him in death in 1969. He was formerly married to Jean Mowery for 14 years.
Corman was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War era.
He was employed by American Home Foods, Milton for 39 years, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, Lewisburg, a member of the Elks Lodge 913, the Moose Lodge 171, VFW Post 1665, and Eagles No. 1208, all in Milton, and the American Legion Post 841, Montandon.
Corman lived in Florida for 11 years after he retired where he enjoyed fishing and golfing with friends. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and moved back to Pennsylvania so he could attend his grandchildren's activities and sporting events.
Corman is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Bryan Black, of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Matthew C. Black and Morgan E. Black, both of Lewisburg; three stepchildren, Jody Cundiff, of Roanoke, Va., Jamie Yates, of Houston, Texas, and Steven Fenstermacher, of Waynesburg, and their families; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Richard Chappell, of Lewisburg; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Florence M. Davis.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Daniel Hicks officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Corman's memory are requested to the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, 954 Johnson Mill Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
