Cody A. Michael, 31, of North Fourth Street, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1985, in Lewisburg, a son of Jody L. (Michael) Herrold, of Sunbury, and the late Wayne A. Ruch, who passed away on April 27, 2000.
He was a 2004 graduate of Shikellamy High School and was currently employed in the parts department at Selinsgrove Ford, Selinsgrove.
Cody was a member of the h2 church, Sunbury.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing, especially for trout. As an import car enthusiast, Cody worked on and detailed his car, participating in shows and took pride in keeping his car spotless. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and he had recently begun shooting archery with his daughter, Makya.
Cody is survived by one daughter, Makya Lynn Michael; one son, Grayson David Michael; his girlfriend, Stevijo A. Wallace; one brother, Benjamin M. Herrold and fiancé Tesla Paul, of Sunbury; one sister and brother-in-law, Michelle L. and Richard Good, of Northumberland; maternal grandfather, Larry Michael, of Shamokin Dam; paternal grandparents, Kenneth II and Mary Ann Ruch, of Northumberland; two nieces, Breanna and Mackenzie; one nephew, Richie; and many uncles and aunts, including Jon and Angie Michael, of Shamokin Dam.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Michael.
Friends and family may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland, followed by a memorial service with his pastors, Mark Gittens and Josh Hostetler, officiating.
Contributions in Cody's memory may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
