Clarence W. "Bud" Snyder Jr., 72, of 326 Catawissa Ave., Sunbury, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Oct. 19, 1945, in Sunbury, a son of the late Clarence W. Sr. and Rita Marie (Attig) Snyder.
Bud attended Shikellamy High School. He enlisted in the Air Force, serving eight years during the Vietnam War.
His working career took him to Sunbury Wire Rope, a security guard and constable for Northumberland County, and was a postman for the Sunbury Post Office from which he retired.
Bud attended Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury, and his favorite Bible verse was, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
Bud volunteered as a baseball coach and umpire. He was known for his great sense of humor, love for his garden, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed fishing. Bud's favorite self reflection was, "I am pretty."
He is survived by two daughters, Robin Snyder, of Selinsgrove, and Natasha Snyder, of Sunbury; one son, William Snyder, of Sarasota, Fla.; grandson, Dakota Snyder and two other grandchildren; and one brother, Stephen Snyder, of Sunbury.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Stacey Snyder; and one daughter, Jodi M. Snyder.
Friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, 967 Mile Hill Road, Sunbury, followed by a memorial service at 11, with Pastor Joshua officiating.
