Clara Mae (Long) Latsha, 88, formerly of Dornsife and the Sunbury Community Health and Rehabilitation Center, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, in the Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was born July 5, 1928, in West Cameron Township, a daughter of the late John W. and Mary E. (Polan) Heintzelman. Mae was first married to John E. Long who preceded her in death. She then married Mark D. "Honey" Latsha who preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2016.
Mae lived most of her life in the Herndon and Dornsife area.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross.
Mae enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by five daughters, Melanie Shade and husband Jim, of Herndon, Lori Stiely and husband Steve, of Dornsife, Joan Kerstetter and husband Don, of West Cameron, Edna Kaup and companion Dale Lietzel, of Herndon, and Karen Yeager and companion Earle Potter, of West Cameron; three sons, Craig Latsha and wife Nancy, of Herndon, John Long and wife Betty, of West Cameron, and Ray Long and wife Nancy, of West Cameron; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Barry Yocum, of Trevorton; two brothers, Russell Heintzelman, of West Cameron, and George Heintzelman, of Millville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shannon Schell; two sisters, Betty Gottshall and Ellen Bowers; and two brothers, John and Charles Heintzelman.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, followed by a memorial service at 3, with the Rev. Will Cole officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mae's memory to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 235 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, PA 17823.
Funeral arrangements are by the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
