Christy L. Keller, 57, of Penns Creek, passed away on Sunday morning, Feb. 12, 2017, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont. Her passing follows six years of failing health.
She was born Oct. 1, 1959, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Nancy E. (Smith) Moyer, of Penns Creek, and the late Jimmie A. Moyer.
Christy was a 1977 graduate of Middleburg High School.
She had been employed at Jo-Lee's Restaurant, Troxelville, Harley's Coffee Cup, Middleburg, Shrawder Mini Mart, Penns Creek, Bi-Lo, Mifflinburg, and retired due to ill health from IGA, Middleburg.
She attended Port Ann Wesleyan Church.
Christy enjoyed shopping, EBay, Facebook and watching television. Her greatest joys were her family and friends and and raising Pomeranian puppies.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Charlynn L. and Carson Herman, of Penns Creek; one niece, Casey A. Klinger and husband Justin, of Bloomsburg; and her long time companion, Paul Hackenberg Sr.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Grace Smith and Lester and Annie Moyer; and her Pomeranian, Sassy.
There will be no viewing. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, with the Rev. Paul Sheets officiating.
Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
