Bobby L. Hartman, 84, formerly of Selinsgrove, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Manor Care, Sunbury.
He was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Danville, a son of the late Lee A. and Florence M. (Beachel) Hartman. On July 21, 1951, he married the former June E. Narehood who preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 2014.
Bobby was a 1950 graduate of Beaver Vocational High School, Beaver Springs.
He had been employed from 1961 to his retirement in 1985 at York Town Kitchens, Mifflinburg. Later he had worked for the Bowen Agency, Selinsgrove, and at the Snyder County Court House.
He was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove. Bobby was very active with the Selinsgrove Senior Center, and was a faithful blood donor over the years. He was also a member of the Susquehanna Valley Antique Car Club.
Bobby was a gifted woodworker, a craft he loved and spent many hours in his shop. He and his wife also enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Bonnie E. Hogan, of Shamokin Dam, and Melodye A. and Daniel Powell, of Dillsburg; four grandchildren, Ryan Powell, of North Carolina, Danielle Powell, of Colorado, Joshua Hogan, of Middleburg, and Jordan Hogan, of Shamokin Dam; and two great-grandchildren, Kailyn and Harlie Hogan.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Road, Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Randall Bennett Jr., officiating.
Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 25 and V.F.W. Post 6631, both of Selinsgrove, will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
