Betty Marie Wray, 89, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
She was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Wilkes Barre, Pa., a daughter of John Wesley and Margaret Mae Utter. They later moved to Danville, Pa., where she met and married Charles J. Wray on Sept. 8, 1947. In 1962, they moved to Colorado Springs.
Betty was a member of First Baptist Church. She was very proud of her years spent working in the medical field. She was also a very proud member of Order of Eastern Star, Ruxton No. 10.
Surviving are four children, Janice (Leslie) Edwards, Charles Jr., Robert, and Jeanne (Robert) Lindenmier; nine grandchildren, Geanine, Jeff, Mark, Jonathan, Michelle, Michael, Steven, Stefanie and Cherilyn; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by one sister, Doris; one brother, John "Jack"; and one grandson, Allen Queen Jr.
She will join her husband Charles in Shrine of Remembrance "Crematory", 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
Services will be announced at a later time.
