Betty I. Landis, 88, of Selinsgrove, formerly of Richfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, Aug. 8, 2016, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Richfield, a daughter of the late Calvin and Elsie (Bolig) Willow. She was married to Reno Landis who preceded her.
Betty was a graduate of Freeburg High School.
She was formerly employed at Leonards Garments, Mount Pleasant Mills and Lyon Fashions, McAlisterville. She was also the tax collector for Monroe Township, Juniata County for 40 years.
She was a member of the Richfield United Methodist Chruch and Sunday school teacher of the 2-4 year old children.
Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles and took pride in caring for her home.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary R. and Teresa A. Landis, of Richfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonita "Bonnie" and Edward R. Brezina, of Camp Hill; four grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Kathryn Brezina, Stacy and Scott Rarick, Andrew J. and Melody Landis, and Heather and James Stotz; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Palmer "Pete" and Shirley Willow, of Richfield; and one nephew.
Betty was preceded in death by a nephew.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Richfield United Methodist Church, 82 Church St., Richfield, PA 17086, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Ken Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Betty to her church. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of the Manor at Penn Village for their loving care to Betty.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills have been entrusted with the arrangements.
