Anne Marie Swartz, 75, of Milton, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born June 30, 1941, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Aleta (Wenner) Hottenstein. She was married to Carl Swartz and her death breaks a marital union of eight years.
Anne was a 1959 graduate of Milton High School and attended school to become a flight attendant.
She had worked for the Naval Department in the Pentagon, American Home Foods, the Milton School District, and the Milton Public Library.
She was a member of Follmer Lutheran Church, Milton where she served on the church council.
Anne enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting and playing the piano.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Brad David Smith, of Petersburg, W.Va.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Lynn and Barry Winter, of Cogan Station, Kristin and Robert Page, of Wellsboro, and Kelly Linnell Smith, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James C. and Nancy Smith, of Mifflinburg, and William and Janie Diehl, of Williamsport; and seven stepchildren and their spouses, Anne Marie and Robert Satteson, of Nescopeck, Donna Marie and John Braun, of Lewisburg, Helen and Wayne Mabus, of Dillsburg, Mary and Jay Cleveland, of Pittsburgh, Michael and Caron Swart, of Vienna, Va., Raymond and Atlee Swartz, of Orlando, Fla., and Carl and Kristi Swartz, of Loveland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Cordell Page; and one sister, Emeroie Dwyer.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Follmer Lutheran Church, Grange Hall Road, Milton, where the funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Thomas Glasoe officiating.
Burial will follow in Follmer Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Follmer Lutheran Church.
