AnnaBelle Soles, 96, formerly of Middleburg, passed away on Thursday morning, March 30, 2017, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born June 29, 1920, in Paxtonville, a daughter of the late Clark and Mary (Dersham) Mitchell. On April 1, 1940, she married William A. Soles who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2006.
AnnaBelle had attended Paxtonville schools up to eighth grade when she had to leave and help to care for her family.
Earlier in life she was employed by the Mattern and Egler's orchards in western Snyder County. Later in life, she had worked at Walnut Acres in Penns Creek.
Since the 1940s, she was a devoted Jehovah's Witness of the Kingdom Hall, Beavertown congregation.
AnnaBelle enjoyed playing cards, camping with her family, and will be remembered for being a fabulous cook and baker. Her greatest joy was found in her grandsons and great-granddaughters.
She is survived by two grandsons, John F. Kauffman II, of Beaver Springs, and William B. Kauffman, of Middleburg; two great-granddaughters, Paige and Makenzi Kauffman; two sisters, Nancy Treaster, of Middleburg, and Frances Nace, of LaVernia, Texas; one brother-in-law, Russell Jarrett, of Hummels Wharf; sister-in-law, Kathleen Mitchell, of Beaver Springs; several nieces and nephews, and a special nephew, Michael Treaster, of Middleburg.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Gay and John Kauffman; four brothers, Guy, Walter, Lee, and William "Bill" Mitchell; and three sisters, Elizabeth Snyder, Grace Feese, and Inez Jarrett.
At AnnaBelle's request there will be no viewing.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg, with Greg Ritter officiating.
