Anna Pearl Snook, 94, formerly of McClure, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Sept. 14, 1923, in McClure, a daughter of the late Erie and Bessie E. (Krick) Ewing. On Feb. 28, 1946, she married Otis P. Snook who preceded her in death on April 3, 2009.
Anna attended McClure schools.
She worked for Mildred Stumpff, McClure Shirt factory, and Laurelton Village where she worked until she got married.
She attended St. John's (Ridge) Lutheran Church for many years, St. Peter's Independent Church, and Manbeck Church.
Anna enjoyed playing piano, gardening, canning, cooking, baking, sewing, making monkey dolls, reading her Bible, and most of all her family was her greatest joy.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel E. and Barbara Snook, of Middleburg, and Darvin R. and Debra A. Snook, of Beaver Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene K. and Ronald Benfer, of Beaver Springs; six grandchildren, Cynthia Troxell, Christy Mallery, Alisha Wenrich, Valerie Tickle, Corey Snook and Brandy A. Snook; one stepgranddaughter, Tiffany J. Wagner; nine great-grandchildren, Tenisha Martin, Courtney Troxell, Sierra Simon, Spencer Wenrich, Gaven Aucker, Gabriella, Olivia and Sophia Tickle and Alexia Kinsey; one sister, Betty Mattern; and one brother, Carl Ewing.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kelly Kinsey; one brother, Glen Ewing; and one sister, Pauline Narehood.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St. Beavertown, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Darvin Reich officiating.
Burial will follow in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.
