Albert "Dutch"'s Story
Funeral services for "Dutch" Musser of El Reno, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dr. Mark Heaney, Chaplain with Russell Murray Hospice will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Musser passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Beaver Springs, Pa. Albert was a graduate of Middleburg High School. He served in the Navy during World War II from 1945-1946 and the Korean War from 1950-1954, spending two years in Korea.
Albert Franklin Musser married Barbara Shaffer on Sept. 22, 1956, in Middleburg, Pa. "Dutch" came to El Reno in 1974 and has resided here since.
He was retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Shaffer) Musser of the home; two sons, Frank Musser and wife Valerie of Yukon, Okla., and Trent Musser of El Reno, Okla.; daughter, Kathy Gililland and husband Trent Culver, of El Reno; eight grandchildren, Levi Gililland & Geneva, Brooke Gililland, Franki & Shawn Stout, Mandy & Kevin Baldwin, Landon & Kelly Sharry, Cody & Amy Musser, Damion & Melinda Barks, Steeli & Jake Hull; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leroy Musser and his wife Suzanne, of West Suffield, Conn.; and other relatives and friends, and last but not least his loving dog, Pedro Musser.
