Adam Michael Gritzer, 30, of Danville, lost his long battle to addiction on Aug. 30, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 30, 1987, in Lewisburg, a son of George A. Gritzer and Beth A. (Wirick) Gritzer.
Adam was a 2006 graduate of Lewisburg Area High School.
He enjoyed non-traditional sports while in middle and high school, including roller blading, snowboarding, lacrosse, ice hockey and 4-wheeling.
Adam loved animals and there wasn't an animal that didn't love Adam. He especially loved golf and all Pittsburgh sports teams.
Surviving are his father, George A. Gritzer, and his partner Amy Ward, Lewisburg; his mother, Beth A. Gritzer, and her partner Rick Gearhart, Danville; his brother, Andrew G. Gritzer, wife Kaleena and their son, Luca, Lewisburg; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Clara Wirick, Orange City, Florida; paternal grandmother, Margaret Gritzer, Latrobe; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins who always loved getting together for the entertainment Adam provided.
A celebration of Adam's life will be held at a date to be determined for family and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
