Willie A. Wagner, 84, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Virginia Beach, Va., a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Catherine (Rainey) Wise. She was married to Gene A. Wagner Sr. who preceded her in death on June 1, 2001.
She worked at W.T. Grants, Shamokin Dam and was the department manager of handbags for Boscov's Department Store.
Willie was known for always having a smile on her face and her kind heart towards everyone.
She enjoyed being outside working in the yard. But what she loved the best was being with all her family.
Willie was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Selinsgrove, and enjoyed helping with the public turkey suppers.
She is survived by her son, Gene Jr. and Julia Wagner, of Selinsgrove; daughters, Kathy and Mark Slonaker, of Hollidaysburg and Jamie and Derick Shambach, of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren, Jeanetta and Michael Ulrich, of Winfield, Brian Wagner, of Selinsgrove, Andrew and Katlynn Slonaker, of West Virginia, Adam Slonaker, of Hollidaysburg, Lauren Shambach, of Selinsgrove and Devin Shambach, of Mifflinburg; five great-grandchildren, Courtney and Alden Figard, of Selinsgrove Isaiah Ulrich, of Winfield, Jayden Hood, of Herndon, Dean and Jane Slonaker, of West Virginia; two great-great-grandchildren, Maria and Aiden Figard, of Selinsgrove; brothers, Joseph and Robert Wise, both of Virginia; sister, Bertha Daugherty, of Ohio; and sister-in-law, Carol Norman, of Selinsgrove.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Shephard and John Wise; one sister, Ethel Denton; and friend, Chester Gaugler.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 400 N. Market St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Dietmar Plajer officiating.
