William P. Raup, 66, of Myrtle Street, Milton, passed away on Feb. 19, 2018, at the Williamsport Hospital.
He was born March 12, 1951, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Paul R. and Betty R. (Budd) Raup.
William was a 1969 graduate of Milton High School and a 1971 graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
He worked as the paint department manager at Cole's Hardware in Milton.
He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Milton, the Milton Historical Society, and was involved with the Cameron House.
William was a skilled artist. He designed and made the Landmark Collection, which are pottery recreations of historical buildings in the Milton area. He also designed and painted countless sets for the Milton High School plays and for M.A.T.O.T.A. William will be greatly missed by his cat, Prudence.
He is survived by two sisters and brother-in-law, Kate Bailor of Lewisburg and Holly and Ben Snyder of Milton; a nephew, Jeremy Snyder and partner, Jill Bua; a niece, Lara Platt and husband, David; a grandniece, Grace Snyder; and two grandnephews, Elijah and Josiah Platt.
William was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Gary Bailor.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Jamie Dries officiating.
Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
