Timothy Alvin Yerger, 53, of Cocoa, Fla., formerly from Middleburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1964, a son of Roy Yerger Jr. and Shirley Witmer.
Tim was a hard worker who enjoyed remodeling properties, working outside, shooting pool, fishing, and spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Dawn Butler, of Cocoa. He loved animals, especially his beloved dog, Heidi, with whom he shared life with until she passed away in December 2015. He worked the past nine years with Broad Spectrum where he made many life long friends.
In addition to his parents and girlfriend, Tim is survived by two sons, Justin Yerger, of Middleburg, Pa. and Brandon Yerger, of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Dusti and son-in-law Jeff Onavage, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Francheska Ortiz, of Cocoa; one sister, Lynne Kratzer, of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Kenneth and sister-in-law Denise Yerger, of Selinsgrove, Pa. and Arden and sister-in-law Myrtle Yerger, of Mount Pleasant Mills; one half sister, Robin Parker-Herrold and her husband Matt, of Middleburg; four nieces and two nephews; and five great-nieces and three great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Nancy Yerger; stepfather, Larry Witmer; and brother-in-law, Randy Kratzer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Cocoa.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Tim's name to the American Lung Association.
