Thomas D. Klinger, 67, of Sunbury, passed away suddenly at Sunbury Community Hospital, Feb. 15, 2018.
Thomas was born in Sunbury, May 20, 1950, the son of Lee P. and Marjorie L. (Lehman) Klinger of Dalmatia.
Thom graduated Line Mountain High High School in 1968.
He served in the US Army. He was employed as a painter for Susquehanna University. He loved to listening to Polka music, bowling, walking, and the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Thom enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He was a member of the VFW. He was of the Christian faith.
Thom is survived by his mother, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shannon Klinger of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Pacey and Ali, at home; two brothers, Frederick A. Klinger of Ariz., and James C. and Cindy Klinger of Dalmatia; two sisters, Rebecca J. and husband Gary Wynn of Dalmatia, and Suzanna L. Oldt of Lancaster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Randall Klinger.
Friends and family may visit from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the St. Paul's UCC 1473 Urban Rd. Herndon, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor John Miller officiating.
Interment will follow at the St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Herndon.
